Piattello will celebrate its 10th anniversary in January 2027, but that party will not take place at its original location in the Waterside development. The word’s out that Chef Marcus Paslay’s Italian dining concept, Piattello Italian Kitchen will soon move to the Clearfork neighborhood.

Marcus Paslay and his From Scratch Hospitality group are behind Clay Pigeon, Walloon’s and Provender Hall and the Mercado Juarez Mexican restaurants. They have announced that Piattello, which is known for its scratch made pizza and pasta dishes, will make its new home in the newly constructed mixed-use building at The Shops at Clearfork by November.

It will be located at the corner of Marathon Avenue and Ozona Boulevard at 5137 Marathon Avenue. “Piattello’s new iteration will occupy 5,620 square feet with approximately 160 seats inside, 40 additional seats on the patio, and will add lunch service to its operation,” according to a release.

That is one of the first businesses to be announced at The Shops at Clearfork’s new three-story, 70,000-square-foot building, The Offices at Clearfork. The new construction will house a blend of dining, entertainment, residential, and office space. And like the rest of the Clearfork community, it is surrounded by green spaces and connected to the Trinity Trail system via walking and biking paths.

Piattello will be the first and only Fort Worth-owned and operated restaurant to land at The Shops at Clearfork, according to a release. Of course, Press Café is also a local restaurant in the Clearfork neighborhood, though set by the river, and not in The Shops proper. Piattello will be at the base of the newly constructed building. Wells Fargo will be the anchor office tenant, which will be “leasing the top floor and part of the second floor, while Piattello Italian Kitchen will be the restaurant anchor tenant on the ground floor alongside retail, encompassing approximately 22,000 square feet.”

“After nearly 10 incredible years at Waterside, this move felt like the natural next step for our team,” says Chef Marcus Paslay. “We’re only moving about a mile down the road, which means we still get to serve the neighborhood and community that built Piattello from the beginning, while bringing a Fort Worth-owned concept into one of the city’s most visited and luxurious developments.”

“We’re thrilled to be the first local restaurant to join Clearfork, and the opportunity also allows us to expand our hours with lunch and dinner service seven days a week so guests can enjoy Piattello even more often,” he says. “From our from-scratch offerings, homemade pastas, and to the way we welcome every guest through the door, we believe our approach to hospitality is the perfect fit for the energy and experience Clearfork has crafted.”

The menu will remain largely unchanged, yet with a few new additions. Its official opening date will be announced soon.
