The upcoming season of Fort Worth Opera promises to be an experience you’ll never forget. The 2026/20207 season will be a year of world-class artistry, compelling stories, and unforgettable performances. From a one-night-only engagement with superstar Jeanine De Bique to the North Texas premiere of Scalia/Ginsburg, here is a peek at the Fort Worth Opera’s full season ahead.
Jeanine De Bique in Concert
Jeanine De Bique will perform for one night only this season.
Trinidadian soprano Jeanine De Bique will take to the stagefor a one-night-only recital this fall inVan Cliburn Concert Hall at TCU. “Known for her flawless technique and vivid storytelling, she captivates audiences with performances that feel deeply personal,” they say. De Bique has appeared on some of the world’s leading stages, including San Francisco Opera, Paris Opera, and Deutsche Oper Berlin. See her on October 29 at 7:30 pm inside Van Cliburn Concert Hall at TCU.

“One of the most talked-about contemporary operas of the past decade is coming to Fort Worth.” Derrick Wang’s comic opera Scalia/Ginsburg reveals the friendship between Supreme Court Justices Antonin Scaliaand Ruth Bader Ginsburg. The opera will be directed by Audrey Chait and conducted by Stephanie Rhodes Russell. The production stars Peter Scott Drackley and Jennifer Zetlan. See it on November 13 and 14 at 7 pm inside Ridglea Theater.
Harmony for the Holidays
Fort Worth Opera’snew interactive holiday experience for all ages is Harmony for the Holidays. “Featuring the Hattie Mae Lesley Resident Artists, this festive gathering blends beloved holiday music, personal cultural traditions, audience sing-alongs, and an inviting atmosphere designed to bring the community together in celebration.” It’s scheduled for November 21 at 1 pm at The Woman’s Club of Fort Worth.

Amahl and the Night Visitors in time for Christmas.
Gian Carlo Menotti’s holiday opera Amahl and the Night Visitors arrives in December. Directed by Anthony D. Pound and featuring our Hattie Mae Lesley Resident Artists, “this heartwarming family favorite celebrates kindness, hope, and community through a timeless story cherished for generations.” Stage West Theatre will host on December 12 and 13, at 11 am and 4 pm.

The 20th Biennial Marguerite McCammon Voice Competition returns to the Kimbell Art Museum. It’s one of opera’s most prestigious vocal competitions, hosting up-and-coming talent in Fort Worth. “This career-defining event highlights tomorrow’s opera stars while continuing Fort Worth Opera’s legacy of championing rising artists.” The site will be Kimbell Art Museum’s Renzo Piano Pavilion on February 28, 2027 at 2 pm.
The Barber of Seville
Fort Worth Opera’s 81st Seasonconcludes with Rossini’s comedy The Barber of Seville. “Filled with laugh-out-loud moments, iconic music, and fast-paced comedy, this vibrant production brings one of opera’s most enduring favorites back to Fort Worth.” The season finale will be held at Bass Performance Hall on April 16 at 7:30 PM & April 18 at 2 PM, 2027.
