Al Biernat’s Eyes Fort Worth’s Convention Center Scene

Big news for steak-centric downtown Fort Worth. One of Dallas’ longtime favorites is joining the landscape soon. Al Biernat’s will inhabit a three-story, 12,000-square-foot historic building located at 913 Houston Street, just across from the soon-to-come next expansion and redesign of the Fort Worth Convention Center. This will become the premier steakhouse’s third location, along with one on Oak Lawn and another in North Dallas. The Fort Worth restaurant isn’t expected to open until late 2027.

The Londoner celebrated its grand opening in Arlington on August 27. It’s located at 1409 North Collins Street. A fixture in DFW for over 20 years. The Londoner recreates a true British pub with fish and chips, Cottage Pie, and of course some ice-cold pints of beer, including a frosty Guinness.

Sushi and sake are now being served in this quaint new restaurant. The owners and sole employees at Hiro’s Kitchen are Hiro and Nami, so keep that in mind before leaving any negative online reviews. The tiny spot with less than 15 seats at its U-Shaped bar is reservation-only, not accepting any walk-ins. You’ll find it next door to the new Sunrise Scones at 309 West Daggett Avenue. Order an omakase (chef’s selection experience) or order per piece.

No, they did not choose to inhabit the (possibly haunted) endcap space, which has chewed up and spit out more restaurants than most in recent memory. Instead, you’ll find Ave Mediterranean situated at 2600 West 7th, Suite 153. That’s just across from Gloria’s Latin Cuisine. Expect bold Mediterranean flavors and handcrafted cocktails inside Ave’s stylish new dining room.

Now open at 301 Clifford Center Drive, Suite 107, GYROVA is serving up delish, from-scratch Greek fare. GYROVA offers a customizable Mediterranean menu of bowls, wraps, and pita pockets. A second location previously opened at 8561 North Beach Street.

Lettuce Cook Has Landed at DFW Airport

Likewise, here’s news about another River District favorite. Who says you don’t have time to eat healthy when you travel? Look for Fort Worth’s famous grab-and-go meals now inside Bonton Farms at Terminal A.  You’ll find Lettuce Cook’s fresh snack boxes, salads, and more in their cold case. It’s gourmet on the go. The original location remains on White Settlement Road.

Rocker Steiner Opened His RCKR Roadhouse in the Stockyards

World Champion bareback rider, Rocker Steiner, just opened his first bar and dance hall. It’s called RCKR Roadhouse, and it’s at 302 West Exchange Avenue. He promises cold drinks, loud music, and unbridled Texas energy. It’s got a mechanical bull and everything!
