Loews Hotels & Co revealed plans for Americana by Loews Hotels – Arlington. It will be the company’s third hotel in Arlington’s Entertainment District. Loews Hotels & Co. will serve as a developer, owner, and operator at Americana by Loews, which will open in 2029.

As Arlington’s appeal began to peak, one of the first on the scene was Loews Hotels & Co., positioning Arlington as one of the premier entertainment destinations of North Texas. Its Live! by Loews arrived with a view of AT&T Stadium in 2019, built with sports fans in mind. The company further reinforced its “long-term belief in the destination and its continued growth as a premier meetings, events, and entertainment hub,” by planting its Loews Hotel Arlington next door just two years ago. Now they are going for the trifecta with Americana by Loews.

With the opening of the third hotel, the Loews Hotels & Co campus in Arlington will be vast. With a total of 1,695 guest rooms in all and more than 374,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, these three Loews properties make Arlington a big player and attractive draw in the hospitality and convention world.

About The New Americana by Loews Hotel

Live! by Loews, Clover lawn is a dreamy destination.

“Set to replace the existing Sheraton Arlington Hotel, Americana by Loews Hotels represents a significant evolution for the market and for the brand,” they say in a release. “A ‘ground-shaking’ event, where the existing hotel will be demolished, is planned for early June, marking the official start of construction on the new Americana by Loews Hotel this summer.”

They say, Americana by Loews Hotels will be the brand’s 28th property. The name is a nod to the iconic Americana Hotel, in Bal Harbour, Florida — a Loews landmark that opened in 1956. The Americana was a postcard from the glory days of travel. But it was later demolished in 2007. Loews plans to pay homage, with its new namesake in Arlington.

“This project reflects our strong belief in Arlington as a dynamic destination and our confidence in its continued growth,” said Alex Tisch, President and Chief Executive Officer of Loews Hotels & Co.

“Americana by Loews Hotels honors our heritage while looking ahead, bringing together scale, service excellence, and design to support group and leisure travelers alike,” he says. “As our third hotel in Arlington, it also marks an important milestone for Loews as owner, operator, and developer.”

Designed With Meetings and Events At Its Core

The hotel will feature 507 guest rooms, including 39 suites. Standard room sizes will range from 350 to 400 square feet. Much like its swanky nearby siblings (Live! by Loews and Loews Hotel), Americana will feature an event lawn, a pool terrace, and a dining terrace with views.

They say the property will offer more than 83,000 square feet of total indoor and outdoor meeting and event space. This will include a 10,000-square-foot Event Barn, for large-scale gatherings. It will have flexible event space plus a grand ballroom and junior ballrooms to host events of all sizes and types.

It’s been a lucrative partnership between the Tisch family of Loews Hotels & Co. and the City of Arlington so far. Without such functional and lavish dining, event venues, and destination lodgings, they could never have dreamed of hosting events like the upcoming Java House Grand Prix of Arlington or nine World Cup matches this year. Now, the world is showing up in Arlington. American by Loews adds even more capacity.

“This new, contemporary addition to the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex is designed to honor the past, embrace the present, and shape the future,” Loews says.
