Who doesn’t love a great boutique hotel? Especially one that was a thoughtful redesign, with charm and character built right in. This year saw the addition of four marvelous new boutique hotels in the Fort Worth area. Here’s what we love about each one.

Mid-February brought Mod Hotels’ first project to life in Stephenville. The Interstate Inn is a completely reimagined motor hotel with plenty of panache. And, its restaurant ― The Seeker ― concepted by Chef Stephan Pyles.
Its two-story main lobby features eye-popping artworks, Jetson’s style light fixtures, bold colors, terrazzo floors, stained walnut ceilings, geometric shapes, and cozy seating areas. Located at 811 East Road in Stephenville, this playful 33-room boutique motel affords a Palm Springs vibe without ever leaving North Texas.
“The guest rooms flank the lawn in a U-shape configuration from two different elevations and feature keyless digital entry, lawn and pool views, privacy walls, and outdoor seating,” according to a press release. “Each has its own eclectic, colorful, mid-century accented wallpapers, also selected by Lennox, and whimsical, vintage-inspired furnishings, Herman Miller pendant cigar lighting, coordinating accessories, and thoughtful, branded amenities.”

The Nobleman Hotel became the first Tapestry Collection by Hilton property in town. Fort Worth’s restored firehouse No. 5, which was built in 1911, is now the two-story lobby space, complete with cozy fireplace seating. It opened in April.
After the historic firehouse was decommissioned in the 1960s, it sat vacant. Most recently, it housed Black Eyed Distilling. Like many other local businesses, the black-eyed pea-based vodka brand was a casualty of pandemic closures, leaving behind a timeless husk just begging for its next chapter to unfold.
After an estimated $26-million restoration, the new hotel now wraps around the historic firehouse, adding 153 guest rooms. Updates include 32 suites, a pool, and patio space. The addition of a stylish bar and lounge on the ground level and its upscale eatery, Duchess Restaurant. Dining was concepted by Chef Casey Thompson, is now executed by Chef Marcus Kopplin. All this, in the stylish South Main Village.
The Rambler Inn is a true home base in the heart of Arlington.
Expanding Arlington’s frontier of hospitality is The Rambler Inn ― a new addition to Urban Union. Located at East Front Street, it boasts 24 outlaw-themed suites and opened in June. Each suite features a fully equipped kitchen, and the boutique hotel is 100 percent self-check-in.
“We’re inspired by legends like Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, and Willie Nelson ― and we’ve built a space where their legacy lives on,” according to the website.
With private balconies overlooking the Arlington skyline, it’s conveniently located about 8 minutes to Texas Live!, 10 minutes to AT&T Stadium, and 12 minutes to Globe Life Field. Local dining option are found just down the street. They include Hurtado Barbeque and the Tipsy Oak. It’s a true home base in the heart of Arlington.

Southlake’s first boutique property is the latest addition to the Tribute Portfolio, Marriott Bonvoy’s collection of independent hotels. Coury Hospitality (famous for Hotel Vin in Grapevine) opened The Elmore Hotel in September. Furthermore, the major upgrade now boasts a moody and modern color palette, dramatic artwork, and bold interior design choices.
Design inspiration for the 175-room hotel was drawn from the American Elm tree with wood grains, lush greenery, and earth tones. On-site, you’ll enjoy the dramatic lounge, lobby bar, and a hidden speakeasy. Fans of acclaimed photographers David Yarrow and Tyler Shields will feel right at home among their artworks.
The hotel’s signature culinary concept, Sagewind, features a “menu that showcases seasonal Texas ingredients, alongside a menu of locally-inspired cocktails such as the standout Southlake Spritz.”
These four swoon-worthy boutiques are worth a visit.
