Anne Walker Miller and Joanna Bennett, launched their upscale, designer boutique, You Are Here, gradually ― beginning way back in 2010. What began with pop-ups and part-time hours is now a well-established mainstay on the bricks of Camp Bowie. It’s a go-to for everything from breezy beachwear to upscale event dressing.

The duo features a curated selection of top apparel brands. Miller and Bennett have become trendsetters, introducing locals to many of their favorite brands. They moved into a cool, two story new location over a year ago. You’ll find it at 4804 Camp Bowie Boulevard.

As we look towards August, North Texas natives know that we have just complete the pre-heat cycle, and getting ready to bake. Some years the heat can last until Halloween. Joanna Bennett says, “Choose anything light and airy. Reach for wide leg jeans and pants. We love crisp cotton and linen short sets, which are both casual and put together.”

“Our motto is how can you look like it was effortless,” Bennett says. “If you do have an event or occasion look for something with detail cut out lace or embroidered.”

Otherworldly Jewelry Designs at Jo Latham Fine Jewelry

Jo Latham, began her journey into fine jewelry retail while studying gemology in 2008.

“I developed my passion for business side while I was living in New York City,” Jo Latham tells Fort Worth Digtial Diary. “It began with trunk shows in 2012, before I decided on a boutique within boutique concept.”

The first Jo Latham Fine Jewelry launched first in Amarillo, as a boutique within boutique. When Latham moved to Fort Worth in 2018, she joined forces with established ladies boutique You Are Here, bringing her vast array into the shop. It’s been a winning formula for both brands, as jewelry shoppers stick around to peruse the rest of the designer clothing and vice versa ― creating some symbiotic foot traffic.

Latham displays a fantastic collection of 50 to 60 different designers. “A lot of designers we work with are independents,” she says. So, what you’ll find in her cases are one of a kinds and new to the Fort Worth market.

Summer Finds ― Seaside, Travel and Club Inspired Jewelry

“Sea inspired jewel having a moment,” she says. “Like Selim Mouzannar’s fish earrings and pendants which are enameled (or inlaid with ivory) on one side and set with diamonds or colorful sapphires on the other.”

“Dezso is one of my new favorites. This designer works in one-of-a-kind shells, backed in onyx and set in gold,” Latham says. “They are styled on leather chords for bracelets and necklaces, making them even more unique.”

Nothing says “some beach, somewhere,” quite like the Grande Natural Shell with polki diamond earrings.

Travel inspired jewelry is ideal for summer, like the fanciful postage stamps by Maison Tjoeng, or the intricate, inlaid designs by Silvia Furmanovich. Another wanderlust ingniter is the intricate design of her Sunset Drop Earrings.

Some of her new items highlight traditional diamonds in new ways. “Ruchi’s Scintilate Tennis necklaces and bracelets to another level with different shaped diamonds,” Latham says. Likewise, the updated emerald cut design elevates the classic tennis set.
