With TCU students flooding back to town and TCU football kicking off, it’s time to add a pop of this regal hue to your wardrobe and everything else. Let’s face it, you can never have enough purple in your life. Many boutiques and brands are here to help. Here is our guide to this must-have fall hue ― all things TCU purple ― in Fort Worth.

Luxury Western footwear brand CHAZLYN Boots by Chaz Pilarcik is returning to its Texas roots with an exclusive three-day pop-up at The Crescent Hotel. the event will unveil CHAZLYN’s first-ever TCU-inspired design – a handcrafted, limited-edition purple boot that fuses game-day energy with elevated fashion. Fort Worth locals and hotel guests are invited to shop the new drop, with prominent Horned Frog embellishments, for three days only ―  September 11 through 13, from 4 pm to 7 pm.

Fort Worth’s locally owned tequila brand has once again partnered with TCU Athletics to introduce a new 2025 edition Horned Frog-themed bottle, celebrating the brand as “Official Tequila of the Horned Frogs”. Last year’s edition sold out in days. The bottle has a TCU Horned Frog outlined in purple, complete with striking blood red eyes. In case you are new to town ― Horned Frogs spit blood out of their eyes. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each Horned Frog bottle will benefit Assist the Officer, a local non-profit organization benefitting the Fort Worth Police Department.

Did you know that the Johnnie-O location at Fort Worth’s WestBend was the company’s first ever brick and mortar? It’s true. Now the national brand offers a wide array of hometown collegiate gear, but the entire back section of the Fort Worth store is decked out in purple. Go get you some.

This fun color coordinated boutique opened at 4725 Camp Bowie Boulevard in March of 2024, bringing its A-game to your game day. Erica Bracken got the idea for the shop while on the hunt for the perfect shade of purple and not finding it. With her background in fashion merchandising, she saw an underserved segment. So, Color Game was born. Inside you’ll find other colors too, but purple is prominent from clear bags, to scarves, and every detail to pull the entire outfit together.
