Trademark Property Company (Trademark), announced the addition of two major Williams-Sonoma Inc. brands to its Westbend mixed use property along University Drive. Both Pottery Barn and West Elm will fill in the gap left at Westbend, when Market by Macy’s closed. The stores are scheduled to open in May 2026.
“Owned by Williams-Sonoma Inc., both home furnishings brands will occupy the former Market by Macy’s store, taking a combined 22,126 square feet at the property,” according to a release. “With this deal, Westbend’s retail is now 100% leased.”
It will take several months to polish the empty shell. Pottery Barn will be relocating to Westbend from just across the street in University Park Village. West Elm, which was formerly located in Crockett Row, closed a few years ago. Now it is returning to the city. Altogether these home furnishing brands “will operate side-by-side in a ground-floor retail space below 60,000 square feet of office.”
Home Décor and Design Powerhouses Come to Westbend
Westbend welcomes West Elm back to Fort Worth soon.
“At Westbend, introducing elevated concepts that integrate seamlessly with the ethos of the property has always been a focus, and the addition of Pottery Barn and West Elm perfectly represents this initiative,” said Daniel Goldware, vice president of leasing at Trademark.
“We are excited to expand Williams-Sonoma, Inc.’s presence within Trademark’s portfolio with this unique deal, which brings two of the biggest home furnishings brands to the heart of Fort Worth’s top retail district,” he says.
Pottery Barn is known for its “casual, comfortable and stylish home furnishings including furniture, bedding, bath, rugs, window treatments, tabletop, lighting and decorative accessories.”
“West Elm was launched in 2002 and offers a modern approach to furniture and home décor,” they say. “The West Elm at Westbend will be the brand’s 10th location in Texas.”
The brands will soon be coupled with Westbend’s collection of retail, food and beverage and lifestyle tenants. Some big names include: johnnie-O’s first ever location, and recent addition jewelry brand Mod + Jo, plus Bluemercury, The Shade Store, Tyler’s, Warby Parker, Quince, HG Sply Co., Van Leeuwen Ice Cream, Susie Cakes, and Woodhouse Spa.
Westbend Is Becoming A Riverside Dream For Trademark
Westbend adds Pottery Barn and West Elm to the mix.
Trademark’s portfolio includes Galleria Dallas. In Arlington, Trademark plans to redevelop the former Lincoln Square into an elevated walkable retail. It will become a mixed-use gem called Anthem near the entertainment district. In Fort Worth they own Westbend, Left Bank, and Alliance Town Center. The company is also underway on several multifamily projects, including The Vickery in Fort Worth and Westbend Residences which were announced in March.
Westbend Residences, will add a 321-unit multifamily development to the ever-expanding Fort Worth market. Situated on 3.5 acres along the Trinity River at 1701 S. University Drive, it will feature 4,500 square feet of restaurant space. The plan also features an enhanced trailhead and public amenities, such as a bike repair station, public art, and outdoor gathering space.
Luckily for new tenants if Westbend Residences, Pottery Barn and West Elm will soon be open very nearby ― to furnish and style their abode.
