Welcome to Fort Worth Digital Diary, where the BEST begins.
Dallasite, Jordan Flynn, founded her cult-favorite jewelry brand Mod + Jo to fill a void she found in the industry. The brand was founded in 2016 bringing high-quality jewelry with modern flair to an audience that didn’t want to “break the bank.” Her flagship store opened in Dallas’ Bishop Arts District in 2021, and now Fort Worth’s WestBend has become home to her second location.
Mod + Jo opened at 1621 River Run, suite 131 just before Valentine’s Day. That’s the strip between Tyler’s and Susie Cakes. Inside you’ll find handcrafted accessories at attainable prices.
First Peek inside Mod + Jo
In store, you find an earthy and serene, minimalist atmosphere, and a collection of fine jewelry ranging from gold and silver to pearl and diamond, plus an array of other semi-precious stones from opal to topaz. But, the majority of styles are fashion pieces, that are crafted in vermeil (over silver) or plate (over brass).
Step up to the customizable Charm Bar to put a personal stamp on your selection. Choose your necklace style and add your choice of clasp or carabiner, so you can mix and match your favorite charms to suit your mood.
The Nora Lock Carabiner, with its threaded closure, makes swapping out and displaying your favorite charms effortless. It’s just one of many options. Charms can also be installed on a link necklace to ensure spacing remains even and tells your chosen story.
Jordan Flynn’s designs take a lot of inspiration from her travels. The jewelry designer spent two years traveling through ten countries, so you’ll find ancient coins and sea shells, along with croissant-shaped charms, and colorful beads. It’s a small-batch brand, and every purchase comes with a one-year warranty.
Permanent & Piercings
Fine jewelry (crafted in 14-karat yellow or white gold, or sterling silver) can become a permanent accessory. Mod + Jo picks up the popular trend by welding your selection in place for a perfect fit, and everyday ease in necklaces, bracelets, or anklets.
In the Fort Worth store you’ll also find some modern and chic, heirloom quality belts in stock, by B-Low The Belt, including the sexy, and organic styling of the Edmond polished statement buckles on your choice of Italian leather straps.
One more service is coming soon. Already a popular addition to the Dallas showroom, piercings are on the way to Fort Worth as well. It will become a monthly offering in-store in the coming months.
Pop into Mod + Jo the next time you’re at WestBend, to explore the newest designs, along with all the customizable possibilities ― without breaking the bank.
