The Stockyards is known for its non-stop energy, Western fashion, and rodeo spirit. But, the historic haunt of cowboys and ranchers will be crawling with live music-lovers once again next week. Now in its fourth year, the Fort Worth Music Festival and Conference is back in gear from February 26 through March 1.

Produced in partnership by Chef Tim Love and Larry Joe Taylor, the Fort Worth Music Festival aims to generate awareness surrounding the Texas music scene while working to build an infrastructure where artists can establish and grow their careers in Texas and beyond. So, along with some (very) big-name acts, this might be your first chance to hear the music stars of tomorrow.

Tim Love will throw open the doors to four of his Stockyards staples to host a dynamic lineup of talent for the 2026 season. The venues include the rustic stage at Love Shack, the casual setting of Tannahill’s Lounge, along with the main concert stage of Tannahill’s Music Hall, and the classic White Elephant Saloon. Tracy Byrd (Friday) and Josh Abbott (Saturday) will pack the house at Billy Bob’s during the festival

The conference portion opens with noteworthy panelists and long-time music industry pros. They’ll take the mystery out of the business aspects, leading discussion topics from Song Writing to Distribution & Publishing. It’s, and insiders look at the music biz for both musicians and concert promoters alike. The conference runs from Thursday, February 26, through Friday, February 27.

The Stage Is Set For Big Names and New Talent Alike

Fort Worth Music Festival – One of the prime music venues of the fest is Tannahill’s Music Hall.

With so many great bands and artists performing across three action-packed days, the festival solidifies Fort Worth as a premier destination for live music in Texas. And that was the point from its inception. Tim Love wanted to develop the local music scene. After all, Fort Worth is the birthplace of Western Swing. It also recently edged out Jacksonville, Florida, becoming the 10th largest city in the nation. We have the infrastructure and the population to support a thriving live music industry.

“The Fort Worth Music Festival remains dedicated to showcasing top-tier talent, celebrating the rich heritage of Texas music, and delivering an unmatched experience for fans and artists alike,” according to a release. “With an atmosphere that blends authentic Texas charm with world-class entertainment, this festival is a must-attend event for music lovers everywhere.”

This year, the big-name acts lining up to take part are heavy hitters ― Josh Weathers, Stoney LaRue, Jack Ingram, Larry Joe Taylor, plus Josh Abbott Band, Wade Bowen, and Ray Wylie Hubbard. The intimate settings allow you to explore new acts and stroll from venue to venue with ease. No porta-potties, open-air cattle calls, or salesmen hawking their wares ― just the chance to enjoy live music surrounded by friends.
