The National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) has announced the return of the NCHA Celebrity Cutting presented by Icon Global. It will take place on April 11, during the NCHA Super Stakes in the newly renovated Will Rogers Coliseum. A-List Celebs will be on horseback supporting a beloved local cause at this new annual NCHA Celebrity Cutting event.
“Building on the success of its inaugural year with this current partnership, the NCHA Celebrity Cutting presented by Icon Global will once again pair well-known personalities with professional trainers and top NCHA riders to compete in a thrilling team-format cutting competition,” according to NCHA.
“There is no more important event on our calendar than this one,” said Icon Global Founder Bernard (Bernie) Uechtritz. “The inaugural 2024 event was a spectacular success for the NCHA and for all involved. This year is especially significant to us on a personal level, as Icon continues its support of UT Southwestern while their exceptional doctors and surgeons are providing care for my own family in real time. Their institutional expertise and compassionate service are truly invaluable.”

An unforgettable evening of competition and philanthropy awaits, according to a release. The beneficiary will be UT Southwestern Medical Center’s cancer programs, which serve Fort Worth and the surrounding communities. “NCHA, alongside chairs Nicole Sheridan, Sherri Patton, and Kit Moncrief, is elated to host this event.”
The Celebrity Cutting event fits perfectly into the mission of NCHA, according to Jay Winborn, Executive Director of the National Cutting Horse Association. “We’re proud to continue growing the Celebrity Cutting and supporting UT Southwestern and their important work in cancer care and research.”
Daniel K. Podolsky, M.D., President of UT Southwestern, says the funding will go toward their new “cutting-edge Radiation Oncology campus adjacent to Moncrief Cancer Institute right here in Fort Worth.” UT Southwestern is at the forefront of prevention and cancer care “through screenings, innovative research, education, and exceptional patient care.”

Last year’s event welcomed Model Bella Hadid, Yellowstone‘s Mo Brings Plenty, Ian Bohen, Jennifer Landon, Landman‘s Michelle Randolph, Lioness‘s Nicole Kidman, and 1923‘s Aminah Nieves and Brandon Sklenar, among others. The newly renovated Will Roger’s arena will host this spectacle this April.
“The event offers fans a rare opportunity to witness an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime night in the arena, all the while raising critical funds for life-saving cancer research, treatment, and patient care at UT Southwestern.”
There will even be an opportunity for a VIP Meet & Greet with the celebrities, plus exclusive hospitality experiences, and special recognition moments highlighting the mission of UT Southwestern and the continued growth of this important partnership.
Tickets go on sale on February 27. More details regarding participating celebrities and event programming will be announced in the coming weeks.
