This helping of Fort Worth food news comes to you from downtown, DFW Airport, the Near Southside, and Alliance. We’ll tell you where to eat and what to drink now, and what’s coming soon.
BREWED Lands Another Location at DFW Airport
BREWED Terminal E gets ready for take off.
One of Fort Worth’s favorite coffee shops is expanding its wingspan, with yet another location at DFW Airport. BREWED announced its second location in a release, “This time as a boutique coffee shop in Terminal E. The new location is expected to open in early 2026.”
“We are so excited to be representing Fort Worth in Terminal E,” said Joey Turner, co-owner of BREWED. “Coffee is one of the most important beverages at the airport, and we look forward to providing warm welcomes and meaningful connections while serving each cup to our guests.”
Its mainstay coffee shop on Magnolia Avenue has been serving the Southside neighborhood for over 12 years, and its full-service restaurant in Terminal D, specializes in its famous all-day brunch as well. By contrast, the Terminal E BREWED will be a coffee shop only, with grab-and-go pastries and such. Now you can taste a fresh cup of Fort Worth hospitality before take-off.
Ko Thai Restaurant Now Open on Magnolia

Ko Thai Restaurant held its soft opening beginning April 14. Now it’s in full swing, located at 725 West Magnolia Avenue. The two-story restaurant is wrapped with patio and balcony seating as well. The striking interior features a bar along the back wall on the ground floor, flanked by sculptural columns of Thai men bearing the burden of the second-story balcony. A carved relief fills in a beam, lending to the drama. The space it topped by an array of cut copper chandeliers dangling overhead.
While the full menu is still “coming soon” on the website, I can tell you from my first visit that it includes appetizers like curry puffs, dumplings, and egg rolls. There are three soups on the menu: Tom yum, wonton, and Tom Kha, as well as three salads: a green papaya salad, chicken or beef laab, or a crispy red snapper salad, called pla ma-kaam. There are traditional curry and noodle dishes as well as stir-fried selections and three types of fried rice.
Beverly’s Mexican Adds to the Excitement In Fort Worth Food News

Fort Worth Digital Diary brought you exclusive details about Polanco Mexican, which is coming this May to The Tower in downtown Fort Worth. And the Don Artemio team is getting ready to introduce its Dos Mares, featuring coastal Mexican cuisine. Now, another Mexican restaurant has announced it will be added to the Hogan Building downtown as well. Beverly’s Mexican will arrive at 901 Houston Street later this year.
Cousin’s BBQ owners Jeff Payne and Jason Cross are behind Beverly’s as well as The Mont, a swanky new American concept they are opening near the entrance to the Montserrat neighborhood off 820.
At Beverly’s, they promise to take traditional Mexican food up a notch, exploring the flavors of Mexico from its Northern to Southern regions. Fort Worth interior design firm, Maven, will evoke a speakeasy feel in the 7,000-square-foot, subterranean space. Beverly’s is expected to open by the fall of 2025.
La Pulga Introduces High-Proof Tequila To Its Line-Up
La Pulga Spirits introduced high proof.
Recently, Fort Worth-based La Pulga introduced two new limited-edition tequilas to its growing portfolio of super-premium Mexican spirits, a high-proof blanco and reposado called La Pulga 110. The name “110” is in reference to the tequilas’ 110 proof (55% alcohol by volume or ABV), which is the highest allowable proof for tequila.
Much like bourbon and whiskey lovers who prefer high proof options for sipping, La Pulga’s new offering fits into that category neatly (or on a rock if you prefer).
“La Pulga Blanco 110 and La Pulga Reposado 110 are innovative high-proof tequilas that truly bring out the deep character and complexity of our high-quality agave,” says Dave Wiley, vice president of marketing at Fort Worth-based La Pulga Spirits.
“Very few high-proof tequilas are released at 55% ABV, but that’s a testament to the quality of our core liquid. Even at this higher-than-average strength, La Pulga 110 still drinks with the signature smooth taste that bartenders and consumers have come to expect from La Pulga.”
Miller Lite 50th Limited Edition Gold Can
Miller Lite gold can will be available for a limited time.
In celebration of Miller Lite’s 50th anniversary, the iconic beer is rolling out limited-edition gold can packaging. Miller Lite was one of the first light beers on the market. It was first brewed in Fort Worth in 1975 ― where the Miller Lite recipe was tested and perfected.
Miller Lite’s golden anniversary packaging is available statewide now through the summer. These limited-edition anniversary cans are available in 12-pack, 16-ounce cans, along with 24-ounce cans.
What’s New and Notable In The Alliance Area
A star shaped specialty selection from Mister O1 Pizza.
Two new additions to the dining scene along the busy Alliance corridor include Kura Revolving Sushi and Velvet Taco.
Still to come is Mister 01 Pizza with many locations in Georgia and Florida. The Alliance location marks the franchise’s fifth North Texas pizzeria (adding to its Grapevine, Flower Mound, Mansfield, and Dallas stores). Mister 01 is famous for it naturally fermented dough, star-shaped specialty pizzas, and burrata bar.
Paris Baguette is also a chain that is making a big push in North Texas, with six locations already open in Dallas and Frisco. Expect pretty French-style cakes, sweets, and pastries like the raspberry almond croissants, mixed berry tarts, filled buttercream breads, or layered red velvet cake. The selection is similar to the popular 85°C Café and Bakery that inhabited Fort Worth’s Left Bank briefly. There are also donuts, salads, sandwiches, and wraps, coming soon.
Finally, in this edition of food news for May, there will be the addition of a new breakfast brunch spot called Urban Egg in the Alliance neighborhood. Guests in Fort Worth can expect breakfast, brunch, and lunch classics with a modern twist, with morning options including crafted omelets, a variety of benedicts, gourmet pancakes with gluten-free options, as well as natural juice blends, coffee, tea, mimosas, and cocktails. With locations spread from Colorado to Kansas City, this will be the brand’s first entrance into the Texas market. It will be the brand’s 10th location over all.
