As America celebrates its 250th birthday, the National Medal of Honor Museum has planned a two-day Independence Day celebration. It will feature live music, special screenings, classic American food, fireworks viewing at the magnificent museum, and opportunities to connect with the stories and values that continue to unite and inspire us today.
The Stockyards aren’t celebrating a single day this year; they are planning for a 10-day patriotic extravaganza. The Red, White & Boots Celebration: America’s 250th Edition will run from June 26 through July 5. The patriotic event will feature live music, daily historic cattle drives, and Old West comedy shows district-wide. There will be a lawn party at the Livestock Exchange, and rodeos at the historic Cowtown Coliseum.
You’re invited to the biggest fireworks show and Independence Day celebration in DFW. Fort Worth’s Fourth will celebrate its 19th year as America celebrates 250. It promised to be an evening of festival food, cold drinks, kids’ activities, live music, and incredible fireworks along the banks of the Trinity River at Panther Island Pavilion. Gates open at 5 pm, and admission is free.
The city of Arlington is celebrating its 150th birthday this year. One of its longest-running events is the Arlington Independence Day Parade, which is the largest in Texas and one of the biggest in the United States. The Firecracker 5K run kicks things off at 7 am and the parade follows at 9 am.
A stunning display will be launched over Lake Grapevine and will begin at 9:30 pm on July 4. This year’s America 250 Golden Jubilee Fireworks Show will be dedicated to the 50 years that Grapevine’s Mayor William D. Tate has spent in office. As this year marks a very special occasion, there will be an enhanced fireworks finale.
