Pickleball shows no signs of slowing. One new club is upping the ante on the benefits of a well-rounded wellness club with ample social opportunities. Another new club will bring easy access and app-based tee times to its state-of-the-art golf practice facility. It pays to be a member at City Pickle USA and Birdie House Golf Club.

In celebration of its first-ever location at North City, north Fort Worth’s newest entertainment destination, City Pickle USA will host a grand opening celebration. The free event will include:

The City Pickle USA facility includes 16 professionally designed courts (six indoor, four indoor championship, and six outdoor courts) plus social gathering spaces. Other attractive amenities include a bar, a pro shop, a wellness gym, sauna, cold plunge, and red-light therapy. It is a membership-based athletic club with several different levels to choose from.

It will finally be open to the public on Monday, February 2, with a grand opening event coming soon.

City Pickle is located at 8600 N. City Drive, in an area now known as North City. With Fort Worth growing fast in all directions, North City is crafting its own identity. It is “north Fort Worth’s premier, first-of-its-kind entertainment destination and urban village ideally located at the intersection of Interstate Highway 35 and U.S. Route 287,” according to a release.

Spanning 300 acres, the newly named North City area includes a combination of experiential entertainment (like City Pickle and Andretti Indoor Karting and Games), upscale regional dining and retail, a luxury hotel, and modern residential and office spaces.

Birdie House Golf Club Opening its Swing Bays Soon

Another active new arrival is Birdie House Golf Club, which just opened its first location in Dallas. The Oklahoma City location will follow that with its opening on February 7, and then Fort Worth will get its own Birdie House. It is set to open in the first quarter at 2205 West Broadway (that’s in a warehouse district on the Pappadeaux side of I-30). A fourth location is set for Houston.

The unique members-only swing suite concept is open with unlimited access from 5 am through 11 pm, and tee times are scheduled via its app, allowing members access to their club and unlimited practice time to improve their golf game. Memberships run $49 per month.

Birdie House Golf Club allows you to practice smarter. “Analyze every aspect of your game with our ProTee VX launch monitors,” they say. It includes ball, club, and flight data, including 16 ball flight statistics, eight clubhead statistics, and a clubhead video replay providing insights that help you improve.

With new active outlets like these on the rise, 2026 is already getting lively.
