With the holidays in our rearview, Fort Worth quickly turns the page and gets ready to go Western for the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. The legendary annual event means a shift in wardrobe, embracing our Western heritage to its fullest, (and if history is any barometer), we might expect a dramatic shift in the weather. Here’s a round up of the best happenings during Rodeo season.
The Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo runs from January 16 through February 7. Special rodeo nights, like Bulls Night Out, College Rodeo, and Cowboys of Color, are on the schedule. There are special competitions and horse shows as well. Take a stroll through the midway, enjoy the stock show in the massive exhibition halls, grab a corn dog and a funnel cake, or do some shopping in the exhibit halls.
Special Entertainment and Music at the Rodeo
The Auditorium Entertainment Series takes place in the historic Will Rogers Coliseum.
Drop by the Michelob Ultra Roadhouse to take in regional acts. It’s open during and after each rodeo in a tent set up on Simmons Bank Plaza. Full schedule of acts is here.
The Corkyard is your wine and music destination. It offers guests a destination to meet friends and unwind before and after the rowdiness of Stock Show rodeos, The Corkyard wine tent is also found on Simmons Bank Plaza.
Bowie House Embraces Western Heritage
Bowie House is hosting a launch party on Friday, January 16.
Bowie House, Auberge Collection, the only Michelin two-key hotel in Fort Worth, is embracing the season “with an exciting lineup of western-inspired activations, celebrations, and cultural moments rooted in true Texas heritage and shaped by the traditions that define Fort Worth,” according to a release.

It is set for Friday, January 16, from 5 pm to 8 pm. Drop by Lela Rose located in the lobby to polish your Rodeo wardrobe.
The Bowie House FWSSR Experience is an exclusive package. It includes a behind-the-scenes tour at Dickies Arena, premium seating, The Bar reservations pre-show, round-trip transportation, and a welcome Blade & Bow cocktail. It’s available Sunday–Thursday for a very VIP take on the rodeo.
The hotel’s nightly pre-rodeo gathering “with elevated bites, drinks, and signature Western hospitality,” is called Rodeo Social. It’s the see and be seen spot during rodeo season from 4 pm to 6 pm every rodeo night. Plus, there will be live music in the bar every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 6 pm to 9 pm, for post-performance celebrations.
The Crescent Hotel Gets Rodeo Ready
