From new ethnic entries to old favorites, adding space along with new menu items, August has us hungry for more. Real deal Indian, Venezuelan, and Japanese Izakaya join fresh croissants, delectable smash burgers, and frozen matcha in this installment of More Fort Worth Food News for August 2025.

Hyderabad House

Hyderabad Indian
Hyderabad Indian has arrived in North Fort Worth.

It celebrated its soft opening on July 26, located at 1901 Heritage Trace Parkway. This is an authentic Indian restaurant, but that’s not all. Hyderabad House also affords shoppers a halal meat source and an Indian grocery. Hyderabad House offers a range of appetizers, curries, tandoori dishes, dosas (a type of South Indian pancake), and desserts. Popular menu items include chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, masala dosa, and gulab jamun (a sweet Indian dessert).

Mango’s Grill

Mango’s Grill brings authentic Venezuelan cuisine to the area. Fort Worth’s first and only is located at 5000 Western Center Boulevard. Think grilled meats, sided by black beans and rice. Here you’ll find homemade soups, arepa sandwiches, empanadas, fried plantains, and fresh churros. They even have what they call platanachos with fried plantains instead of corn chips.

Ichiro Izakaya

This new restaurant began its soft opening on August 9. It’s open from 4:30 pm to 10 pm at 401 Bryan Avenue. This is the former location of Funky Picnic Brewery & Café. They promise an “Izakaya vibe straight from Japan’s late-night alleys.” Ice cold beer and Japanese whisky highballs served alongside smoky skewers of yakitori grilled to perfection. The former Shinjuku Station on Magnolia was the first to bring this typical Japanese fair to town. You can also find it at Wabi House at the corner of 8th Avenue and Magnolia.

Adding an assortment of tasty treats, Lazy Cow has opened at 5615 Colleyville Blvd. Suite 420. It’s a “cow-themed café serving up handcrafted boba teas, over-the-top milkshakes, creamy horchata, slushies, smoothies, and even taiyaki — adorable, fish-shaped Japanese pastries stuffed with sweet fillings,” according to Grapevine Edit. New Expansions and Menu Additions at Some of Your Favorites

Marche Bleu

Marche Bleu adds some flaky croissants to the morning mix.

This hub in Clearfork is adding fresh-baked pastries to the morning temptations. The French-style café and grocery at the heart of the Shops at Clearfork is upping its breakfast game. They call the news “flaky, buttery, and dangerously delicious.” Perfect to pair with a signature drink from the coffee bar.

Buffalo Bros ― TCU

Just in time for the influx of students returning to campus, Jon Bonnell has doubled the size of Buffalo Bros. It’s been a favorite haunt near TCU since 2007. Now there’s more to love. It has expanded into the space next door, adding 23 more TVs and 70 more seats. Cold pitchers of beer are served with pizzas, wings, and even bison burgers.

Panther City BBQ

One of the state’s top barbecue joints, located in South Main Village has jumped on the smash burger train. Theirs is a $9 double topped with melty cheese, pickled red onion, dill chips, special sauce on a sesame seed bun. Can’t wait to try it.

Tinie’s Mexican

South Main’s one-of-a-kind Mexican restaurant introduces three new raw bar dishes. Tinie’s Raw Bar features a new snapper crudo with grilled pineapple, celery, and lime vinaigrette; plus a scallop aguachile surrounded by sliced cucumber, with lime, pickled Fresno and red onion; or the new tuna tostadas marinated in sweet soy, and dressed with avocado, spicy onion, and sesame.

Maple Branch Craft Brewery

Fort Worth’s award-winning brewery will begin brewing more than beer. They are “branching” into specialty coffee as well. Maple Branch Craft Brewery is adding Branch & Bean Coffee + Roastery to the mix beginning with a soft opening on Tuesday, August 19. This could become one of the most sought-after coffee bars in town, with its lovely and shady patio sealing the deal. They’ll serve handcrafted coffee, with beans freshly roasted in-house, along with breakfast tacos to start your day.

Pax & Beneficia

Famous for their unique Turkish coffee and unique specialty drinks with a touch of cardamom, is adding something new. Pax & Beneficia has added frozen matcha to their offerings. The original has a touch of honey and pistachio, or you can add a drizzle of guava or strawberry puree to the frothy frozen matcha. They currently have seven locations, with one in downtown Fort Worth, one in Waterside, and another in Grapevine.

Fort Worth has plenty of new eateries to dish about, but our favorites keep upping their game. It’s a good time to be a foodie in the Fort.
